First Thoughts: Revenge of the Sith

A few, preliminary thoughts on the Star Wars movie. I have no idea if I’m going to write an entire review, but if I do, these thoughts will somehow be incorporated.

• Rarely have I seen a movie that takes me on such an incredible journey as this. Semi-exciting action scenes, bookended with the most ham-fisted, phoned-in acting style that one could imagine, with a final half-hour that somehow manages to reedeem most of the film. It’s truly an excercise in frustration and wonder.
• What do you call a Sith with no arms and no legs, charbroiled to perfection? The new Deluxe BBQ Vader Burger, new from Burger King.
• Plot holes the size of a wookie on steroids.
• How can Hayden Christiansen be so good in Shattered Glass, and so bad in this movie?
