Forget Hillary. Her ice queen nature and sadly, the fact that she’s a woman, is bound to create an instant loss for this clearly redneck-tinged country. It’s John Edwards that can be plain spoken and stay on message. I just hope that my fellow Democrats agree with me. Here’s one that does:

I’m believe that McCain would slaughter him. In fact, McCain would probably slaughter any democrat unless the donkey cooks up a POW’s for truth campaign.
Maybe the Dems should run Zell Miller against him.

Reagan was 69 when first elected to office, so he ain’t too old.
I listened to Edwards speak before Kerry’s concession speech. It’s really too bad he wasn’t the candidate running this year. You poor democrats get all jacked up by those folks standing in corners of rooms in Iowa… *sigh* (and, no i did not vote for bush)
I would vote for McCain in a heartbeat and seriously almost wrote him in on this ballot. However, I have also heard that he does not plan to run in 2008, I believe it was related to his age.
What we need is a centrist, moderate party to be spearheaded by McCain and Edwards and those poor Democrats and Republicans won’t know what to do with themselves.

I completely agree. I was a Dean-guy, but once he started yelling the names of states, he become slightly less desirable. Edwards looked best in the debates and I was really surprised when Kerry swept the states. Not that I think he is a bad man. He’d be a much better leader than GW. But he’s not a communicator (like Clinton), and that’s what we really need.
Hillary is a creation of the pundits. They just can’t get enough of those fucking Clintons.
She doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell, sorry.
If McCain is nominated, Wes Clark could be a good foe to go up against him..

The problem with Clark is that he has little or no political experience, but gawd…that man is a genious. He would probably be the smartest presidential candidate since Clinton.

i voted kerry edwards even though i would have preffered to see a edwards kerry ticket thats edwards as the presidential nominee but this opens up a good spot for edwards he is the most likely to run as the democrats presidential canidate in 2008 i think
